Bali is a magical place that has a little something for everyone whether you’re looking for a secluded yoga retreat or beach parties. Below I’ll break down and explain some of the popular cities you might want to visit. If I have a say, Id say do them all!
Canggu
Pronounced (chan-goo) oh man do I love this place, I still call this place home. It’s close to Ubud, Uluwatu, Densparsar, and basically everywhere else on the isand its a good middle spot to stay. For me, I called this my home base. There are tons of expats, cute cafe, and bars. Everyone is doing their own thing during the day but at night everyone comes together to watch the sunset and party on the weekends. It’s a perfect mix of everything you need!
Ubud
If you love yoga and a more laid back atmosphere this is the spot for you. Ubud is home to the coolest airbnb’s in my opinion. If you see any pictures of Bali on those famous instagram pages you’re probably looking at a place in Ubud which makes it so fun to visit. Here you’ll find huge rice terraces and endless waterfalls. I loved my weekend trips to Ubud but I found it a little too slow for me.
Uluwatu
All I can say is Wow. What a dream destination. Ulu has the best sunsets youll find in Bali and is home to the coolest beach cliffs. If you find yourself there, stop by Savaya for the most epic day party you'll ever see. This little town is a perfect mix between local and toursity in a sense there is still a younger crowd with cute cafes yet you still feel the balinese culture. This is my second favorite place to visit in Bali next to Canggu.
There are plenty more great places to stay in Bali and I hope you'll get to see them all one day when you visit I just wanted to write about a few of my personal favorites! Happy Travels :)
